Beate
Mauder has been involved with the Indian and Asian markets to
develop business for Europe and Asia for Rafael Hotels and Amanresort
since 1996.
In 2002, she moved to India from New York
where she held the position of Managing Director of Leading Marketing
Services (part of The Leading Hotels of the World). Beate’s assignment
was with the Taj Hotels Resorts and Palaces as Vice President, Marketing
based at the corporate head-office in Mumbai.
She developed a public relations network in
India and internationally, enhanced communication and reservation
channels and developed marketing initiatives in India and abroad with a
network of marketing alliance partners. Branding and positioning was the
focus to differentiate and build competitive advantage in each business
segment.
Beate Mauder holds a MBA degree from Henley
Management College, UK, a BTS Gestion Hoteliere degree from Lycee
d'Hotellerie et du Tourism d'Ile de France, Paris and received a
scholarship for Cornell University, Ithaca, New York. She worked for
Le Meridien Hotels in San Francisco, London,
Hong Kong and Beijing before she joined Rafael Hotels in 1992. At Rafael
Hotels she was in charge of sales and marketing in Europe and later Asia
- based in Hong Kong with Amanresorts, the sister company. She became
the Director of Sales and Marketing for The Oriental, Bangkok when
Mandarin Oriental acquired Rafael Hotels.
German by birth, Beate is fluent in English,
French and Spanish. And is working on improving her Hindi.
Namita Kuruvilla An alumnus of The Indian
Institute of Mass Communication, New Delhi, Namita has over 20 years of
experience in advertising and communication with leading advertising
agencies in India and abroad.
From Enterprise Advertising –dream
destination of creative in the 80’s - to J Walter Thompson, the biggest
brand building agency, to Ogilvy & Mather, Namita gained invaluable
experience. In 1992 she joined Lintas Gulf in Dubai and on her return to
India, joined SSC&B Lintas, Mumbai where she worked from 1995 to 2005...
Namita has worked on brands across
categories: automobile, fashion and cosmetics, travel and leisure,
hotels, banking and finance, food, alcoholic and non-alcoholic
beverages, publishing and media, social and environment. In her last
assignment Namita was part of the core team for new business and
creative strategy development.
She has won a number of national and
international awards, her work has been showcased in D & AD Annual,
Graphis Annual, Lurzer’s Archive, and New York Festival.
Namita is a writer by training, designer by
